I have a complete running Audi 80 with rear disc brakes from the factory
with the proper proportioning valve factory installed.
Whole car for $350. Tampa, FL.

If you use the A4 rear axle, your stuck with five bolt wheels.

You might also want to look at the coupe GT. I know some people who have
done coupe GT rear disk brake conversions on their coupe GT, have used
rear axles from an 80/90.

>From what I understand all US model Audis after 88 came with disc
brakes all around, or maybe it was the 5000/100 model.

I know the 87 coupe with discs uses rear calipers from the 5000.

Don't even bother with the quattro models, the rear suspension differs
way too much.

Honestly I don't know why someone would convert rear drums to discs,
best braking improvements are gained by upgrading the front brakes, not
the rears, as most of the brake pressure going to the rear is decreased
with heavy braking.
