You don't need the Bentley for that.  On the 84-88 type 44 turbo
center console there is a "Computer" button.  You just have to turn the
ignition on (but not start the engine), press that button, and it
will cause the auto-check display to cycle through all its warning symbols.
If you have a bad bulb or some other problem, then some of the symbols
will not come on.  Note that this is only to test the display.  It
isn't performing any real "auto-check"ing.
