The ASQ sales tax issue . . .

That sounds wrong - it's being sold to someone and registered out of state.

Years ago I bought an 83 5kt in MA, no sales tax since I was from NH.

However... I still think it would make sense to trailer it home, then go 
over it slowly and carefully before taking it out for long drives.
