Fuel Lines

i have wondered the same thing about why audi used metal lines and vw used
the plastic lines.  the first thing that comes to mind is the pressure
difference digifant II and Motronic i believe also uses 40 lbs or less of
pressure, CIS is of course higher.  i would still think that they would
have been using the plastic in a upper end car if they wanted it to last.

i reuse lengths of the golf plastic lines in engine conversions that i do.
at the ends where the hose terminates usually with spring style clamps
there is a small brass insert in the plastic tube to stop it from
crushing.  i would be interested to read more about the nylon ones that
you used if you can provide more information.
