88 90Q: removing control arm bushings using Huw style tool -SAWS ALL

I was also gonna suggest the Sawzall to collapse it.... then I wondered
if we were talking about the same bushing.........couldn't figure out
why no one had already suggested this.

Did this on the CA bushings on my 4k, and on more truck leaf
springs/shackle bushings than I can count.  Depending upon the width of
the bushing in question, an air body saw may also work, and will provide
a bit more control/precision.

Use a hammer and punch (or a press) to push out the inner sleeve, then
use
a sawsall to cut the outer sleeve.  The outer sleeve will collapse and
you
can push it out by hand.  Did all 8 in my car like this.
