Well... as you say, adding bent bits of rod in the right places to use 
rubber hangers in the stock places isn't too hard - you can see some in

Your car has "similar" hanger locations, two for the rear muffler, and 
one in the middle that went to the stock center muffler.

Up front, the only support, stock, is a sheet metal bracket bolted to 
the tranny that holds the bottom of the downpipe.

On my coupe, all I have are the rubber hangers, and everything seems to 
"hang in there" just fine (and has for years).  Perhaps if you do a good 
job of replacing them, you'll be all set.
