This couldn't be a throwout bearing could it?

Now the car is acting even stranger.
-When I let it sit and get cold, start it up and do the routine, I get no
noise in gear or out.
-Once warm, things have progressed to where I can eke out a little noise by
goosing the throttle in neutral. It's still worse while putting the car in
gear, though. Something about the DT being under load.
I suspect...mice. Large, drunk, rabid, BMW-driving mice.
Will keep digging, thanks Jim.
