Brake Pressure Regulator BTDT's

I just recently picked up a BPR for my 87 4kq and was wondering if there are any BTDT as far as the installation goes?  Do I have to bench bleed it, such as with a master cylinder?  Any hints would be appreciated.  Thanks,
