Slace stuck in tranie?

I have only had to pry the slave out with a long screw driver levered
against the hose connection. You could also try to start rotating it
within the bore to break it free. There's no trick though. Once the
pin is out, there's nothing else to hold it in but corrosion, etc.
Not sure if you can safely get some heat from a torch in there as I
haven't had to resort to that. You do have to be somewhat respective
of the bell housing though... someone resorted to hammering or some
sort and broke the bore for the slave. He did need a tranny removal
to replace the bell housing. Sounds like the mechanic should take a
break and come back to this one later. In the mean time, he should
spray some PB blaster on it frequently.

He just called me, he cannot get the dying slave out of the tranie. He was able to get the hose off and knock the spring/barrell pin out, but he cannot get the slave out. Is there a trick to it? Something he may be missing? He's now suggesting that I take it to the DEALER and have them drop the tranie then remove it.
