Need a Mechanic in RTP North Carolina

I'm looking for a mechanic in the RTP area (Durham, Raleigh, Chapel Hill 
and outlying areas) of North Carolina, specifically in Cary, but will 
drive for someone who knows Audis, is reasonably priced and doesn't turn 
their nose down on a 1988 5000.  I've been to 3 different shops and have 
had the worst experiences since I've owned a car.  Some of the shops 
after looking at the car said that it was "too old to work on."  The car 
is not a pile of junk, in fact it looks and drives great.  What's the deal?
