As far as the engine/suspension/drivetrain goes, there is no significant
difference between an '84 4kq and the 85-87 4kq. You see more
conversions done to the 85-87 cars simply because there are many more
of them around.
MC1 - There should be many of these around, works well, the lower
compression allows for more aggressive boost increases.
MC2 - K24 turbo w/ dual knock sensors and higher compression gives
better off-the-line driveability in stock form than MC1.
