Hi Alex,

Welcome back to the fold. I probably wasn't here when you left, but have
found this community one of the friendliest, most helpful, and patient
groups on the web. They've sure been invaluable to my VAG education!

I recently sold a 87 5kcstq, but unlike yours, mine had well over 200k
miles, but was still running strong. Wonderful cars these are! I still
have a Type $$ (91 200tq20v) that I LOVE. especially now that it's snowing.

Having to replace the rear rotors after 50k seems strange though.
Perhaps the e-brake was dragging a lot? Certainly worth keeping an eye
on after the repair to make sure they last more than another 50k :o)

And as a general question to the list (while we're on the subject of
5k's), I pulled an almost new Da'Lan hitch off my 5k before selling it.
Any idea what these go for used? I think I had it priced too high in the
marketplace, as all I got were offers of "thousands of dollars if their
'friend' could pick it up and take a ton of my money...."

Though, with so few miles, I imagine you may not have a ton of questions
for the list. But we'll be here if you do!
