Kent McLean asked:
Are you getting any blinking at all from the "Check Engine" light
(CEL) when you insert the fuse? If the CEL does not light up when
you first turn the key when starting the engine, then it may be
burned out or inoperative.
Denis replied:
Well, naaaa no light even on starting,,,,, its the next i ll do this
morning,change light.
Got the project car outside the garage (in the snow :-( ) and got the
100q in the garage . Easier than in the snow storm .

As Kent McLean suggested, go to Scott Mockry's site:
<http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/trouble_shooting/ecuf.html#fc5kt>
Go here to decipher the codes:
<http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/trouble_shooting/10vcodes.htm>
Scott describes how you can make your own CEL with a couple of
leads connected to the under dash connector. Some cars, starting
late '89 don't have the CEL in the dash and require you to use the
under dash connector.
