I have a '91 80q (cast control arms) and am replacing both front ball joints.  My issue is with the replacement right ball (893 407 366E) joint, it does not have the same dimensions as the old one, the ball of the joint is located ~3/8" further foward than the original in relation to the mounting holes. Also, the rod that goes into the strut is short by ~1/4".  This all says wrong part to me.  The supplier says its the correct one.  Its also the same unit thepartsbin.com shows in their pic.  The mounting holes work, and the rod dia is the same.  Anyone run into this before?  Whats going one here!?
