Seconded. It's already in the best mounting location you've got, amidship.
To bring it any closer to centre would require reworking the bulkhead, which
is structural anyhow. The ur-q tank would be an improvement in capacity, but
then you'll need to re-engineer your spare tyre mounting, BTDT. Spend the
time+money cleaning up the OEM install(replace prefilter etc). There are
plenty of rallyists running the OEM tank without issue. When you've got Jon
Kemp beat in an '84 4kq, and are gunning for Frank+Dan then by all means,
but I can't see the use before that point.
