Desperately seeking connector T8 :( (NG engine harness)

I am trying to trace what appears to be a bad earth/ground to my ignition and fuel injection modules (CIS-E3 - 1990 Coupe 2.3E, NG engine). According to my Bentley manual, pin 1 of the ignition ECU and pin 35 of the fuel injection module are earthed via an 8-point connector called T8, described as being in the right-hand engine compartment harness. Well I seem to be find every other connector but this one! I am keen to find it as I am getting a resistance of 30+ ohms to ground instead of close to zero, and it may explain some running problems. I was wondering if my failure to find the connector is because :

a) My car is a UK model, and my Bentley manual is for US models. This could mean that left and right are reversed in some instances, but other aspects of the harness seem to be as described.

b) The connector is very well hidden under some component or is elsewhere - e.g. under the drivers side dash.

c) The connector is in fact not present in UK models.

I could of course bypass the connector and complete the circuit to ground myself, but am not sure what else the connector is responsible for, so would like to check it over.

Any help would be most appreciated. I know it's dark under there, and the connector is black, but I have had a really good look ;-)
