Hello,I have an 89 audi 100E fwd, automatic transmision and recently I have experienced problems with the transmission. In the morning when I start the car it shifts form 1st to 2nd very hard,I can strongly feel a delay,it's like the engine is running in neutral;I have a little uphill part from our parkinglot before exiting to the main street and when I stop and take my foot off the gas the car starts going backwards then when I push the gas again the engine seems to run in neutral to up to 4000rpm and when it finally shifts I can feel a strong strike in the engine and then I can feel a shorter strike when it shifts from 2nd to 3rd.Once the engine warms up aprox after 5-7 miles it shifts smoothly again. What could be the cause of this and what can I do?This is my first question.
The second thing is that 2 days ago when I tried to open up the engine hood I felt the handle soft all of a sudden and the hood didn't unlock and it's been like that ever since and I can't seem to open it.Has this happend to enyone;if yes how can I get to the cable that unlocks the hood to reattach it to the handle because that seems to be the problem.Thank you.
