Opening type 44 Hood was: (no subject)

  The end og the cable is out of his eye. The plastic around the wire is probably broken. Use Tie wrap to maintain it , to preven fall again,,, for temporary solution. I did it after i got the hood stuck close..

    There are photos here and several listers talked about this a few days ago if 
    the cable snapped.  There are two fish eye levers you can grab and pull to 
    release the hood anchors from their "catches":
