Top replies, bottom replies...I choose >bottom< this time.

The aforementioned page (http://www.renegadehybrids.com/928.htm) states a
10-pound weight reduction for an LT1 conversion on a 928 (with "impure"
100ft-lbs torque output increase); a 944 conversion did add 130 pounds in
the front but apparently owner felt it was worth it.

I'm not advocating hacking up perfectly good 928s but if you happen to
have/find one with a bad motor then $10k for Porsche rebuild vs. $4k? for
Chebby with more power (arr arr arr) makes you go hmmm.
