About alignments . . . I bought a great set of 4 Nokians from a tire dealer a couple of years ago. Someone who supposedly specializes in tires and alignment. I had to take the car back twice to get the alignment right. Even after the second trip the wheel wasn't lined up correctly and it didn't drive just right! My hubbby had replaced most of the parts, examined the others, so I am positive they didn't have to struggle with bolts or anything. Everything was clean and had been recently taken off and there were no worn parts.

I finally took it to the dealership and they had quoted me $120 for the alignment. After just gettting new tires I wanted them to have a perfect alignment. The dealership did a great job and only charged me $70 in the end because I had to wait longer than planned.

The car drove great after that. Generally we work on most things ourselves, but after not getting a tire specialty store in an upscale neighborhood to do the alignment properly, and one of probably two places which even sold Nokains in the general Hartford area, I would go to am Audi dealership for alignment again.

We are now in Flagstaff and there is no Audi dealership here. That is a problem for getting parts here and that means I have to drive to Phoenix for an alignment. Not a pretty thought.

Cheers, Fay
