Was this common on most models? If my '90 200 has door lock heaters
I've never known about it.............

You only need to hold the door handle up for a brief period to activate
the
lock heaters. They operate at around an ambient temperature of
freezing
and stay on according to how cold it is. They will stay on for about
a
minute and a half. You can reactivate them after they have gone off if
the
lock remains frozen. I've never had a frozen lock not become
workable
after the first activation.
