Denis,

My 2.3 CIS-3 car had a bad leak as well, right at the head, changing
injector seals helped, but did not solve the problem.  Removing the upper
intake is easy, lower intake is very annoying, but I am glad we did, I
found my lower *intake* manifold was warped!  We machined it flat, put a
new gasket in, and the car has been very healthy since then.
