Are 1.8T's JUNK????

Your using THE sludge oil. That is the problem. Every Pennzoil engine I have
had apart was terribly sludged and clogged. In my opinion Pennzoil is the
only bad/lousy oil. All others seem ok. Mobil 1 is very good as are all full
synthetics. Why would you use Pennzoil in a turbo motor? As the saying goes
pay now or a lot later. The 1.8t is a fine motor. It does require some
maintenance though as do most motors. It needs a timing belt at 80000 miles
max. Hydraulic tensioner will go bad and wipe the belt. Replace belt and all
tensioners.
