are 1.8T's JUNK????

Ti, i just threw that out there to see what kind of experience others are 
having.  most of you who own 1.8T cars on this list have bought them new, and are 
VW/Audi enthusiasts,  so i know your vehicle's maintenance is impeccable.  
i'm just venting my frustrations and airing my experiences in what im coming 
across in looking for a used B5.. 
im not knocking the 1.8t by any means..but the B5's im looking at all have 
over 50k miles on them and a 50k mi. plus 1.8T with an unknown history is 
seeming to be more of a can of worms than a 2.8 V6 with the same mileage and unknown 
history..thats all my point was..   too bad all B5 owners dont take care of 
their cars as well as we do here on the list..
just my 2¢.  not bashing one or the other, just stating what i have found.
