Jon, while I don't necessarily disagree with you, I'd just like to clarify
and say that technically, they are not 'recalling' the 1.8T's but simply
extending the engine warranty on them - so if you do run into an issue
within 8 years of 'start date' VAG should take care of you.... But I doo
agree that people need to exhaust the warranty claims process before
jumping right into a lawsuit, if that is the intent. We have too many
lawsuits as it is. But let's not start an OT thread on THAT issue...! ;-)
