90Q 20V Air Bag Light

This sounds a lot like what happened in my '91 200q20v and to other
list memebers. Mine wasn't on for the full 5 minutes, but close to it.
The solution was to use a VAG-COM and reset the codes on the air bag
controller. On the '91, the airbag recall had been performed, so there
were some 2x2 connectors in the center console to connect the VAG-COM
to. The original hardware required a special test box that nobody
seems to have (except the dealer). Not sure what is in your '90.
