but the damage has already been done to most B5's..    too bad synthetic oil 
and 3000k  oil change intervans werent specified from the get go. apparently 
VW has only recently said that synthetic oil should have been used...5 years 
after the fact..

did audi specify 3000k oil change intervals and synthetic oil be used in the 
'97 A4 service booklets?
