You can reface the flywheel if minimal scoring, but too much may be asking for trouble and your mechanic may not want to be held liable should a catastrophic failure occur.

Typically one does not reface the pressure plate - if it is scored then replace. I have simply cleaned and roughed up the faces on surfaces of flywheels and PPs that have normal wear.

Hi, Ben,,,, yesterday evening i unscrewed almost all bolt .... 5 left. tranny almost ready to remove. By the way i WILL reface the flywheel and the pressure plate. My friend at Germaan garage told dont face them ....... for me, if it s faced then the clutch ll have to used until it took the old clutch paturn, understand ?, until then i cant get the clutch go one or take a grip . and the car cant move even in 1,2,3,4 or 5.
By the way i ll replace the lock rode with a SS one.

  Denis

I verified the ilnkage everything seems fine.

    Denis,

Con't panic just yet - it could be something with your linkage. Get up under there with a good light and mirror, and see if one or the ball and socket ends cam loose from the transmission.

Hope that is it and you don't have to pull the tranny.

        Denis,

Sounds like a problem with the clutch not engaging - you may need to take trans again. Ouch!

I think you have a problem with vaccuem leak and idle control. Although it could be several things, you may want to check the idle screw O-ring.

            Denis,

There is no proper way to retrofit the distributor for 5000T/TQ as these are CIS and the one you have is CIS-E. It could perhaps be done, but your best bet is to find a good CIS-E3 distributor, and save yourself the pain and agony of a retrofit.

You may be able to pull the metering head off and clean things up - do with great cat and don't drop the plunger!

            Ben

[It seems the distributor plate is not working well, it jamme at different level, that cause not meatering the fuel so no fuel go to injectors.

After it run more than 10 sec, the time i got off the car, and play with the plate trought the air filter it ran ok.

If i touch the accelerator pedal the engine dont go back to idle seed, and speed to fast until i play again with the distr plate.

            Denis

I m looking at my older distr from 5000T and 5000TQ unit if any way to fit it.

            Any advices ?]
