Differential Pressure Regulator - just the facts

Hi Ben/All,

It is probably a matter of interpretation.

In the manual: "The regulator and its operation is the same as used on
CIS-E fuel injection. The operating range during closed loop or oxygen
sensor regulation has, however, been changed."

To illustrate, replace "regulator" with "resistor" and "operating range"
with "resistor value." The resistor and its operation is the same as used on
CIS-E fuel injection. The resistor value during closed loop or oxygen
sensor regulation has, however, been changed."

The operation of the resistor doesn't change. Send current through it and
there will be a voltage drop across it. Still doing the same job. But,
obviously, a 300ohm resistor and a 2kohm resistor will act differently. Not
a perfect example, but I think the idea gets across.

Cheers,
Brady

Brady,

I'm not trying to support what was written in the Factory Service manual,
nor refute anything you are saying. In other words - I don't know, and can
only speculate.

Ben
