Differential Pressure Regulator - another inetesting perhaps relevant fact

Marc,

This one may be of significance in the problem you are experiencing with no
fuel to injectors. FWIW regarding Deceleration Fuel Shut-off information
taken from aformentioned CIS-E3 Service Training Manual.

"During engine deceleration, fuel to the injectors is shut-off by increasing
the negative current to the differential pressure regulator to about -50
to -60mA."

"This will also occur at about 6600 RPM to limit the engine speed"

And a picture is shown how the DPR blocks the flow by fully opening the
plate valve which in turn causes fuel pressure to close regulating valves in
the metering head.

The second fact is bothersome to me as I did not know that a soft shutoff
was incorporated into CIS-E3. Looks like no 7K RPM for me - now that is a
reason for a chip!

Ben
