Radiator fan switch

When you say the car is "overheating", what actually happens? Does the coolant light on the dash flash? Blowing coolant from expansion tank? What is the gauge reading? The temp gauge on these cars sit pretty high when at idle, nothin to worry about there. If you are experiencing boil overs, then you have a problem. Chances are if the gauge is fluctuating when you move air across it(driving), you don't have major blockages. I had a thermostat fail in the closed position on my car, resulting in no coolant flow. Top of radiator was hot, bottom was cold. The fan never had a chance to come on. Doesn't sound like this is your problem but maybe worth checking out.
