t44 shift boot minus the "F"

I have a '87 5kcstq, and the shift boot is knackered, as our English friends
say. Aside from being ripped and brittle, the main problem is that the
bottom "frame" of the boot is not attached to the console, so it flops
around like a hoop skirt. It looks like the PO tried epoxy to hold the two
together, but to no avail.

I know I need a new/used boot, but any btdt's on attaching it back to the
frame and console? I could try epoxy again, but one aggressive shift and
it's back to floppy mode. Any advice appreciated!
