purchase a V8 engine

Hi all, i have a chance to a V8 car for parts. The car is been well maintain by my friend manager at german garage. They ex owner did good care of his ex car. He always used cartol synthec and synthec on tranny.
He broken it in an accident , very light .... but enought for the assurance company to tell the car ll be out of road.


It s 300 000km on it. THe owner did long way travel to go to work every day. 240km / day.
Everything is original and brake are new.

4 new tires.
I can resell everithing i dont need .


After long bargain with the garage (they asked 1800 first) 1500 to finally close to 1000$ (canadian) i can get it, all the car.

Is it a good bargain ?

The engine got to much km? 

I ll have to rebuilt something soon ? serpentin,, timing chain.....
