Ok, so at least I wasn't telling you anything you didn't know.
It could still be that, "pumped up," the lifters in different engines
end up in different places - perhaps due ot a more aggresive cam lobe on
the turbo engine?
In the last call, though, I would say, why not replace all ten? They're
only about $6 each, and you've got the cam up out of the way to do the
job...
It could also be that the visual differences you see are a change,
perhaps even an improvement, in the lifter design. So, again, why not
go with ten new ones?
