95 A6 head gasket

One of my cars is a 93 90q v6 2.8 12v.

These engines are notorious for oil leaks not only at the head gaskets but
all other engine gaskets i.e lower and higher oil pan gaskets and oil
seal/gaskets under the intake manifold. I would not doubt the one or more
of these gaskets need replacing.

Mine had the head gaskets and manifold gaskets replace under warranty when
the car had 50,000 km. Now at 140,000 km the engine is full of oil again.

$1400 sounds like a lot for one head gasket. Perhaps they mean all top of
the engine gaskets.

Good luck.
