I changed one myself once, using a tool I borrowed from Atlantic 
Imported.  It consisted of a heavy threaded rod (about 3/4"?) and a 
variety of round hunks of steel to fit bearings and hubs.  No press 
needed, you'd use an impact wrench or a lot of leverage and muscle.

The nice part is it could be done on the car, as I recall.  (you can 
flip the axle stub out of the hub on a type 85 front by turning the 
wheel to full lock and twisting, twisting, twisting the night away)
