2.3 head vs. 2.2 head

I stand corrected by Huw as I neglected to mention that detail. The NG and
NF heads are similar in valve configuration. However, the NG Head requires
a special 2-peice intake manifold where the injectors are mounted in the
manifold itself, as opposed to most of the other heads where the injectors
are seated directly into the head. This should also allow easier mounting
of a fuel rail for EFI than the head mounted injectors.

I am fairly certain that the NG configuration also provides better flow
characteristics than the NF head due to the manifold design. The intake
works to channel the air and fuel directly into the intake valve, and across
the CC almost like a crossflow head. I may be corrected on this, but after
dealing with the different styles, that is what I conclude based on my
observation.

This has nothing to do with throttle body size or position and AFAIK they
can use the same TB.

Ok i see. The problem is to cut and weld the intake to fit trottle body in
the right direction. So it ll breath better... right ?
