help! with high pressure ps hose connection

hey folks,

i took the day off work to get the leaky PS hoses off the car to have them 
rebuilt.  some work done on the car and im stuck at the high pressure PS  
hose connection at the rack. this is the further of 2 nuts from the firewall 
accessing via the little trap door behid the pedals on an 88 90q.
the nut is long - about 1.5 inches, and has an offset groove in it. it's 
being a real bear to break loose and i dont want to F it up. is it 2 nuts; 
an outer threaded to inner  [to sandwich the metal hp hose end] thats 
threeaded into the rack? the first connection down there [banjo] was easy.

or is it just 1 big 'ol annoying nut. ive already bought a 19m flare nut 
wrench thinking that would get it off but theres no clearance. and i the 
small adjustable is just not cutting it. i'm THIS close to hacksawing it off 
and taking the nut[s] out of the rack. i cant tell if i need to separate the 
nut 'halves' [if there *are* nut halves..] or just keep torking. and im 
trying to resits the temptation to break stuff THEN ask questions.
