But it is almost always the wires. If you haven't replaced them in a
while, and/or they are not the Bosch OEM ones, dollars to doughnuts they
are the culprit. BTW, I tried other wires. DON'T!  Bosch OEM are the way
to go. They solved my problems instantly.

Related to the above question: The throttle on my '88 NG, when cold
only, feels like stopping to open under acceleration at about 2,5-3K
rpm.  Adding more throttle gets it over the hump.  When it warms up, no
problem.  Could this be wire related, too?  Wires are old :o(
