Ok, armed with lots of what to look fors last night, I had my first look
under the bonnet.....
It was indeed a vacuum leak!!!!
The cis air boot infact had ridden up of the fuel dizzy, and as the engine
rocks via torque reaction, it was allowing a little unmetred air in!!!
cool!!!!
So it appears my hard starts had rocked the boot off!!!

Yea, but given what he was doing at the time, you have
to consilder the belt first. Anyways, good advice.
