Anyone know anything about metric sheet metal screws

Although there maybe different sizes available accross the pond, I don't think there are any suppliers here. McMaster doesn't have anything in metric... and if THEY don't have 'em, no one will. I also wanted to replace some sheet metal screws on my 5kT, but I ended up replacing w/ similar ones from boltdepot.

I lost some screws from one of my german cars.  They look like blunt
tip sheet metal screws.  The car being made in europe I figured the
screws would be metric.  A quick search of the internet turns up no
suppliers.  

The screws from the car have a major diameter just slightly bigger
(0.017) than a number 12 sheet metal screw.  It also looks like 14
threads per inch.  Is there such a thing as a metric sheet metal screw?
