88 AUDI 90Q Heater Core

Heater Core leaking by the gallon on my feet.
 
Got a core from a local junk yard in Idaho.
 
Ripped out the dash....ugly
 
reached the box where the heater core is and I cant get the $#@!% heater core casing out.
 
Removed the two nuts from the bolts through  engine compartment..
 
still won't budge.
 
I'm stuck in Idaho on a Job and can't find a manual.
 
Please help!
