re urq odomoeter drive gear

I had a gear fail in my 90 coupe's odometer, and was able to send it to
Southern Electronics in Richmond Virginia and they were able to match it up.
This happened this past November. Cost me $35, and i did the work. There's
a VDO authorized center here in Greensboro called Nichols Speedometer, but
they wouldn't sell me the gear, but were at least nice enough to refer me to
Southern. Both are on the web via a google search.

hope that helps too!

the transmission in the 4kq has a pretty good ratio- from what I have seen,
it was a very popular "upgrade" on the UrQ due to the gear ratios that the
UrQ came with. I remember reading several reviews on the UrQ and the authors
just ranting about the poor gear ratios in that tranny. I also remember
seeing a UrQ at the KAR website with a 4kq tranny- seems like it should have
had a 016 all along.
