I found myself out of stock on oil filters for Max, my '87 5KTQ.. they seem
to go fast whilst commuting 1000 miles a week...
 PA to TN and back.. (in an '87  type 44 turbo!)
Rod at ThePartsConnection typically keeps me stocked up (Thanks Rod!), but
on such short notice, I was forced to go to the local Audi dealer in
Harrisburg, PA (Victor), where I was informed that Oil Filters for the Type
44 Turbo are no longer a stock item.. and if you can't get a friggin oil
filter, you may as well go fish for anything else.
I just finished dropping Max 2" on H&Rs / Bilsteins, got him aligned and
installed fresh Contis.. and even unchipped/unsprung, its like a new car.
I was ready to rack up another 100K, but this latest has me (finally) open
to reconsideration...
unless anyone out there has any reasonably priced chip/spring combos.. or
any other interesting bits...
