Being a normally aspirated engine, there are not many performance
options without significant cost.

Yes, as far as hp is concerned.  But the MC puts out more torque
at a lower RPM.  Also, being turbocharged, the MC is much more
"tunable" for big power gains.

Depending on what you're going to do with the ignition and injection
systems, that could be a big issue too.  The 7A is all-EFI, whereas
the MC is CIS.
