Yeah, the nasioc forums are what I know about, too... by way of a
friend who owns a 2002 WRX.

The tranny is the main one, and you don't have to install mods nor be
a rough driver in order to see the problems.  Others include a fuel
leak at low temperatures, a radio that changes volume by itself, poor
ABS, and who knows what else.

First: what's wrong with dumping the clutch?  Why not make the tranny
tough enough instead?

Second: my impression is that dumping the clutch is not necessary in
order to break your transmission.
