oil pressure gauge - aftermarket?

It shouldn't, no.

Again, it shouldn't.

I had one on my truck for years, it was 1/8" pipe thread.  In other 
words, you might have to make an SAE/metric adapter.  But then again, 
surely they have ones with metric threads these days.

Warning: mine used a plastic hose, which has held up for years, but 
broke when I was working under the dash on my plow controls, back in 
warmish (32+/-) December.  Get one with a metal connecting pipe if 
you're going to do this.

But why bother, when you can get Audi stuff?  Oil pressure gauge from a 
coupe GT, and the two pin sender to replace one of those two you have?
