even more...synth

I'm beginning to agree...at least regarding "0"

FWIW, the JT in my syncro simply loved the castrol syntec 5-50.
Lifters were always quietest after a change. 0-50 produced same
result, but longevity of silence was decreased. Other syns did not
produce same result.

Switch to current 2.7T, majority on aw forum suggest M1 0-40. I've
had some success, but actually motor seemed to run cooler and sound
"smoother / quieter" with the 5-30?

Anyway, my anecdotal facts...;-P

I am a big fan of synthetics and have done a fair amount of homework
on
them. Especially for turbo engines, I think they're the most sensible

choice
because of their resistance to coking, their longevity and their
reduced
viscosity shift in high-temp service. However, I can't say I'm a fan
of
the
multi-vis oils with a very low range.
