Whats wrong here?

Uh oh...
I had the same thing happen. After 10 hours at the Audi shop they found that the harness behind the dash had chafed and the bare wires were shorting out.  My case was intermittent which made the whole thing that much more difficult to find.
The bundle that chafed was in the center, just behind the radio I believe.
