Yes, there are many here in NJ, Cody... But I guess I have a little
different attitude... I prefer to look at the fact that at least they are
interested in cars and are fixing them up in soome fashion, even if we
don't agree with their methods... In a way, they are the hot-rodders of
the '40's and '50's - I'm sure my grandparents felt the same way about
them as we do about the ricers... Now, before I get flamed - Yes, most of
the add-ons kids do these days are for 'show' and not 'go'... But I would
suggest that unlike earlier eras, the computer and emmissions controls -
and overall electronic contents - of modern cars somewhat limit the
opportunities for inexpensive hop-ups... And yes, many have no idea how
their cars work... But at least there are some kids growing up with an
interest in modifying cars, and m ost of them are only messing around with
Honda's, after all!
